Factual claims are footnoted to a named, linked source. We prioritise public health bodies and peer-reviewed literature over secondary reporting, and we link to the original wherever one exists.
Where a figure comes from a specific survey or report, the article names it rather than describing it as “studies show”.
Most findings in this field are associations observed in populations, not demonstrated causes in individuals. We use “associated with” when that is what the evidence supports, and we do not upgrade it to “causes” for the sake of a stronger sentence.
Articles are reviewed against current public health and medical literature before publication. This is an editorial review, not a personal recommendation from a named clinician, and every article says so.
Each article shows the date it was last checked. When guidance changes, we update the article and the date. When we get something wrong, we correct it and note the correction rather than editing quietly.

We do not diagnose, we do not recommend treatments, and we do not respond to individual medical questions. If a topic requires a clinician, the article says so and stops there.
